Philipians
Paul writes letters to a Christian congregation in Philippi noted as the first Christian church in Europe. The letters are addressed to the congregation and those overseeing the church to encourage them to continue despite conflict and persecution. Persecution and conflict occurs outside the faith not just outside the congregation, but also in the congregation.
